The End

As Grade 8 is coming to an end, so is Genius Hour. I’ve completed my presentation, and I’m waiting for my mark. So far, I think I’ve done quite well. The presentation was quite short, and it brought my point across well. I really enjoyed this project. I hope next year will be just as fun as this one, and I wish you, Mrs. Englot, the very best.

I’m Done!

I finished the sections in the back in relative speed, which surprised me. Because I don’t want spoilers, I won’t show the finished product, but I will present it next Wednesday. It took me 5 weeks to make this, and I’m quite proud.

As well as that, I must thank my professional. It certainly would have been a lot harder without his advice. Similarly, my classmate Matthew also gave me a few tips on editing that worked quite well.

As I mentioned above, my presentation is on Wednesday, so I’ll see you then!

Doing the Main Body

I’m working on the main body. It turns out that it is difficult to find footage of Bulgarian soldiers fighting in 1913, since the Second Balkan War is not very well known. For that reason, I think I will stick with maps.

As well as that, I have found an expert, but she lives in Italy and our timezones are very different. I’m hoping to meet with her soon.

Working on Animation

So far, I’ve created the introduction and rerecorded the beginning of the script because the mp3s that I recorded last time didn’t work. I’ve decided that I want to record at the same time as I edit that section. As well as that, I’m going to be using a lot of maps, since they depict the story better than footage of combat.
